The Equality of Women - A Historical Perspective

It is an undeniable shibboleth of the left, and of feminism particularly, that women and men are equal (though some feminists will insist that men and women are equal in always save the physical, which doesn't matter). This is such a common assertion that it has become much like your living room furniture - you no longer question it, nay, you barely even notice it any more.

Oddly, this is something that has been staunchly denied by 10,000 years of human history. Nobody ever believed such nonsense until the 1960s (when, I remind you, people's minds were being addled by drugs) when it became a part of a gospel-like social dogma pushed by people whose ideas have fashioned a world that is undeniably worse by every meaningful measure of social deviance and chaos imaginable.

Below are some historical quotes demonstrating that the wise, the holy, and the awake all have insisted on the inferiority of women for the entire history of mankind....

  • "This is my conclusion," says the Teacher. "I discovered this after looking at the matter from every possible angle. Though I have searched repeatedly, I have not found what I was looking for. Only one out of a thousand men is virtuous, but not one woman!" Ecclesiastes 7:27-28 (NLT)
  • "I thank God... that I am male and not female." Socrates
  • "All women from their birth are searching for their Master." Aristotle
  • "I assure you that the most winning woman I ever knew was hanged for poisoning three little children for their insurance-money, and the most repellent man of my acquaintance is a philanthropist who has spent nearly a quarter of a million upon the London poor." Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as Sherlock Holmes, The Sign of Four
  • "Don't wait for a good woman. She doesn't exist." Charles Bukowski
  • "Woman was God's second mistake." Frederich Nietzsche
  • "In revenge and in love woman is more barbaric than man is." Frederich Nietzsche
  • "The sexual life of adult women is a dark continent for psychology." Sigmund Freud
  • "That woman is by nature meant to obey may be seen by the fact that every woman who is placed in the unnatural position of complete independence; immediately attaches herself to some man, by whom she allows herself to be guided and ruled. It is because she needs a lord and master. If she is young, it will be a lover; if she is old, a priest" Schopenhauer
  • "Woman, who, unless carefully brought into legal and moral subjection, was of all things most likely to be used by that Infernal Serpent as he had already used her in those far-off day...." Eric Dingwell (1957)
  • "Women are always authoritarian." G.K. Chesterton
